A 5 ton fan being balanced on a 10 ton horizontal belt driven balancing machine. Horizontal balancing machines have the rotor mounted horizontally on them. They are usually supported on two supports and are driven through the use of a belt drive or an end drive arrangement. The balancing on a horizontal balancing machine can be done in two planes or on a single plane.
